    Edith Sanchez, age 72, died on Monday, November 3rd, with her 3 sons and daughter by her side. Edith was born on July 27, , in Puerto Rico. Edith Sanchez will be remembered for her remarkable courage and her honest and independent spirit. Edith was a devoted mother and is survived by her daughter, 3 sons, and their spouses, Rick and Susy Sanchez, Robert and Cathy Sanchez, Wanda Sanchez and David Sanchez; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, Michael, Caitlin, Erika,; and her 3 sisters and 3 brothers, Marianna Aponte, Christina Gonzalez, Lillian Caferra, Juan Antonio Aponte, James Aponte and Richard Aponte. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Funeral service will be held at Holy Rosary Church, Bradhurst Ave, Hawthorne, NY on Friday at 10am. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
