Bharat RatnaPandit Bhimsen Gururaj Joshi (; BHEEM-SAYNjoe-SHEE; 4 February – 24 January ), also known by the honorific prefix Pandit, was one of the greatest Indian vocalists in the Hindustani classical tradition from the Indian subcontinent.
