Dharwad: The connoisseurs of Hindustani classical music in Dharwad are in for another treat. GB Joshi Memorial Trust, in association with NGO Kshamata and ministry of culture, will organise a five-day music festival from January 9 at Srujana Annajirao Shirur auditorium here to mark the birth centenary of doyen of Hindustani music, vocalist Pandit Kumar Gandharva.
The festival will begin with the screening of a documentary ‘Hans Akela’ from 4pm to 5pm on January 9. Union minister for parliamentary affairs Pralhad Joshi will inaugurate the festival at 5.15pm in the presence of MLA Arvind Bellad, mayor Veena Baradwad and DC Gurudatta Hegde.
